About Me

I have  been a Certified Massage Therapist since 2018 and have been teaching yoga since 2010. It brings me great pleasure to help others in their self care practice, whether through pain relief and recovery, stress reduction, relaxation or breath and body work. It all flows together and I appreciate and respect the process.

In addition to my massage therapy certification through the state of California, I am certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage and trained in Ayurvedic bodywork.

I am registered E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500 through Yoga Alliance.

     A Little More About Me.

In my late 20’s and 30’s I was in the corporate world, proprietor of a meeting and event planning company.  While I loved that work, 2008 helped me make the decision to stay home and raise my 2 sons. I was fortunate to have that time.

I was introduced to yoga and breath work in college and have been practicing yoga since my early 20's. I came to yoga as a means of exercise however soon learned that there is so much more to this practice.  When I moved to a suburb of Memphis, TN in 2009, I began a Yoga Teacher Training. My intention was to deepen my practice and meet “like minded” people.  I studied with the late Terry Johnson, who had a great impact on me; with yoga, personally and professionally. Terry introduced me to studying with Greg Tebb of New York and Manju Jois. I appreciate all forms of yoga, however my personal practice and group teachings are of the traditional yoga practice; Ashtanga.

The practice of yoga helps to keep me grounded, focused and in the present, it feeds my soul.
In private sessions I work with individual bodies and their needs, pulling from my knowledge of the body, various styles of yoga and continued studies.

I graduated from Monterey Institute of Touch in 2018, becoming a certified massage therapist. Additionally, I am certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, in the Vodder method through KIose Training. In 2019 I was fortunate to work with Susan and Jeff Turner at Living Ayurveda in Monterey, There, I was trained in Ayurvedic Body Work.

Massage and yoga have become a large part of my life which I enjoy sharing with others.

I have much gratitude for my many teachers who have given me so much. Much gratitude to my clients who also help me to grow in my profession.  We are all students of life, I will continue to grow so I can always be my best for those who trust in me.

When I’m not on the mat or in my studio I enjoy cooking, hiking and above all, travel.  A backpack and a passport are two of my favorite things !
